SUMMARY:Foundations of Shamanic Journeying: Exploring the Spirit Realm
DESCRIPTION:This 8-hour\, four-week online class series focuses on helping those new to shamanic practices learn to journey. Journeying is the art of working in the spirit realm via a trance state. There are numerous methods for and philosophies on shamanic journeying\, and we will explore various practices and ideas in our weekly gatherings. No prior experience with shamanism is necessary! \nWhy learn to shamanic journey? Journeying is a powerful practice that can aid anyone’s spiritual journey. Working in the spirit realm teaches us true freedom and self-empowerment. There\, we have access to other worlds. We connect with the energy that underlies the physical world and receive guidance from our spirit guides and ancestors. Moreover\, we gain the ability to heal ourselves at the deepest level. \nMy personal experiences with journeying over the years have taught me that there’s no one right way to journey. I want to lift up alternatives to the usual Western shamanic approach to journeying\, while also exploring this well-used (and much-loved) method. If you’ve tried journeying and struggled to have an experience\, I can help you discover different methods to send you on your way! \nClasses are 2 hours each and will hold time for check-ins\, information sharing and discussion\, journey practice(s)\, experience sharing\, and ‘real-world’ application of classwork. \nMeetings are held Thursday evenings starting April 23rd and running through May 14th\, from 7 – 9 PM (EST) on Zoom. Moreover\, we gain the ability to heal ourselves at the deepest level. \nShamanic drumming is both a healing art and a catalyst for shamanic journeying. At our gatherings\, we will explore both ways of working with rhythm. Participants are encouraged to bring (or make!) a rhythm instrument for healing work\, but extras are available for those who don’t have one. \nLocation: The Unitarian Church of Marlboro and Hudson (UCMH)\, 80 Main St.\, Hudson\, MA\, upstairs in the Knight Room. Enter through the side (Church St.) door and come up the stairs.

SUMMARY:Unlocking the Norse Runes - An Experiential Journey Through the Elder Futhark
DESCRIPTION:Join me by Zoom for a weekly in-depth journey with the Norse Runes exploring the energy of each stave and aett (group or family) in the Elder Futhark.  In this initial series of 8 weekly classes\, we will work with one rune per week\, covering the first aett in the Futhark. The second and third aettir will be covered in the following two 8-class series. \nEach 90-minute class will explore one of the runes in depth through music\, discussion\, meditation/shamanic journey work\, and magical practice. Each series will also explore the energy of the related aett\, and how that family or group of runes fits and works together. \nNo experience with runes or Norse mythology is required\, but a commitment to the work is requested. Registration is for the first 8-week class series only\, exploring the first aett in the Elder Futhark. Dates for the second aett class series are forthcoming. \nClasses will be recorded for participants’ private use for catch-up on a missed session or for review. \nCost: $120 for 8 weekly 90-minute classes \nDates: Thursdays May 21st – July 9th\, 6:30 – 8 PM \nRegistration and payment are required to hold a spot. SUMMARY:Playing with Tarot! An Intuitive Tarot Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join me on the 4th Fridays in January\, March\, May\, July\, September\, and November for a tarot gathering focused on intuitive tarot reading skills. \nOur gatherings combine discussions of tarot topics\, reading introspectively\, exploring spreads\, playing with our decks in unconventional ways\, and group readings (a favorite event that produces some of our most interesting experiences). \nWhy are we playing instead of learning tarot? \nBecause playing is fun! Our gatherings focus on intuitive reading. Certain attitudes and perspectives arise when we use the word ‘learn’: right versus wrong\, the need to study and learn\, the need to prove our skills\, fears of testing\, etc. \nBut telling ourselves that we’re playing instead of learning puts us into a different mindset. Hopefully\, one that is more relaxed and ready for fun. And that makes it easier to access our intuition. Bring your favorite tarot deck and come see how fun tarot can be without the rules! \nIf you’re new(er) to tarot and don’t yet have a deck\, there are extra decks available to borrow.

Starting on July 18th\, we will meet at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley\, located in Stow\, MA – just 5 miles away from our Hudson location.
