DESCRIPTION:The Shamanic Journey and Drumming group is moving to a new location! Starting on July 18th\, we will meet at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley\, located in Stow\, MA – just 5 miles away from our Hudson location. Our new home in Stow has beautiful outdoor space\, and we’ll have the opportunity to embrace nature immersion when the weather is comfortable for meeting outside! \nThis group meets on the third Saturday of every month. This is a drop-in event\, and no experience with shamanism\, journeying\, or drumming is required – just a curious and open heart! \nShamanic journeying is a powerful practice that anyone can learn and use. Working in the spirit realm teaches us true freedom and self-empowerment. There\, we have access to other worlds. We connect with the energy that underlies the physical world and receive guidance from our spirit guides and ancestors. Moreover\, we gain the ability to heal ourselves at the deepest level. \nShamanic drumming is both a healing art and a catalyst for shamanic journeying. At our gatherings\, we will explore both ways of working with rhythm. Participants are encouraged to bring (or make!) a rhythm instrument for healing work\, but extras are available for those who don’t have one. \nLocation: Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley (formerly the First Parish Church of Stow and Acton)\, 353 Great Road (Rt. 117)\, Stow\, MA. Enter through the Main Entrance off the parking lot\, then go left to the Community Room.

SUMMARY:Playing with Tarot! An Intuitive Tarot Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join me on the 4th Fridays* in January\, March\, May\, July\, September\, and November for a tarot gathering focused on intuitive tarot reading skills. \nOur gatherings combine discussions on tarot topics\, reading introspectively for ourselves\, playing with our decks in unconventional ways\, and group readings (a favorite that produces some of our most interesting experiences). \nWhy are we playing instead of learning tarot?\nBecause playing is fun! Our gatherings focus on intuitive reading. Certain attitudes and perspectives arise when we use the word ‘learn’: right versus wrong ways of doing things\, the need to work hard at studying and learning\, the need to prove our skills\, fears of testing\, etc. \nBut telling ourselves that we’re playing rather than learning puts us in a different mindset. Hopefully\, one that is more relaxed and ready for fun. And that makes it easier to access our intuition. Bring your favorite tarot deck\, and see how fun tarot can be without the rules! \nIf you’re new(er) to tarot and don’t yet have a deck\, there are always extra decks available to borrow. \nLocation: Playing with Tarot has a new home! Beginning with our July 31st meeting\, we will gather at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley (formerly the First Parish Church of Stow-Acton)\, located at 353 Great Rd.\, in Stow\, MA. \nWe will meet in the Community Room – use the main entrance and follow signs to the left. \n*This month’s meeting is on the 5th Friday of July due to a travel conflict.
