What is Yoga Nidra?

Rest and awaken your whole being

Yoga nidra is the yoga of sleep. It is a guided meditation that brings the student through the five koshic levels of being and into the brainwave states similar to sleep, allowing for profound healing. A 30-minute yoga nidra session can equal the healing and rest obtained during several hours of quality sleep.

Yoga nidra is especially beneficial for aiding the major ailments many of us suffer from due to modern life – anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, isolation, and more.

I am a certified Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra guide and work with several yoga nidra traditions in my personal practice. I offer private and public yoga nidra sessions that take participants on a journey through their layers of being to explore the deep wisdom contained in each of us.

Why I Work With Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra

In my first Divine Sleep®Yoga Nidra class at Kripalu, as I began to relax into the meditation, a red fox appeared, curled up next to me, and fell asleep. I knew at once that this style of yoga nidra was special. I was guided not only by our teacher Jennifer but by the spirit of Fox, and I knew this was meant to be part of my practice.

Although I’ve worked with several schools of yoga nidra in my own practice, Divine Sleep®’s journeys set it apart. They help the meditation take on the feel and power of a shamanic journey (I’ve had shamanic journeys within this yoga nidra practice), which allows for a profound connection with spirit.

Yoga Nidra Personal Sessions

Personal yoga nidra sessions are tailored to each client’s individual needs. Each session includes creating an intention, or Sankalpa, grounding, a 30 – 40-minute guided yoga nidra meditation, and teaching supportive meditation and energy techniques to continue one’s healing journey at home.

Individual sessions are $90 and last 60 – 75 minutes. They can be done in person at my office in Westford, MA, or remotely by Zoom.

If you are a new client, please book a free 15-minute consultation before scheduling your healing session. This gives me time to learn what’s on your heart and mind and craft the right meditation just for you.

Yoga Nidra Group Sessions

I offer public group yoga nidra sessions periodically in the central Massachusetts area. Check my program calendar for currently scheduled events.

I am also available for private group sessions. Contact me for pricing and more information.
