Hello! I’m Cynthia, a Reindeer Shaman, Reiki Master, and owner of Inkwood Healing. In 2022, my life changed radically when I was unexpectedly asked by shaman spirits to rebirth an ancient shamanic tradition I had a past-life connection to.

Some of the story of how I was contacted, initiated, and trained by my shaman spirits is published on my blog. Search for the category My Shamanic Path, if you’d like to read about my experiences.

I began Inkwood in 2020 with part-time tarot reading and Reiki healing. Following contact from my shamanic guides, I began shifting Inkwood into a full-time healing practice. In 2023, I started working out of A Healing Vibration in Westford, MA, where I currently offer in-person healing sessions. In 2024, I began offering shamanic healing and events, gradually bringing my practice and lineage into public awareness.

My practice focuses on creating community and helping my clients and students find their innate connections to the energies around us. So much of human suffering is caused by the false idea that we are separate from spirit, each other, and the Earth. When we reconnect in community and engage with the energy of the spirit and natural worlds, we heal and grow on every level.

Join me for a healing session, workshop, or ceremony, and rediscover the magic of connection. I hope to see you soon!

Reindeer Shamanism

I am a practicing Reindeer Shaman from a formerly extinct line of Nordic/Arctic shamans. I was connected with this lineage in a past life many millennia ago, when I died during a test of strength in my shamanic initiation. My then-shamanic guardian and teacher became my maternal grandfather in this life. He contacted me in 2022, thirty years after his death, to bring me back onto the path of Reindeer Shamanism.

My shamanic work focuses on helping my clients and students learn how to heal themselves and discover their innate interconnectedness. Through shamanic healing, classes, and ceremonies, I work to bring the magic of Reindeer Medicine back to the world at a time when we need it most.

Experience & Training

In addition to my years of shamanic training, I am a certified Reiki Master and have been a Reiki practitioner for over 9 years. Through my practice, I have helped people and animals with a wide range of health challenges find relief and healing.

I have spent over 40 hours at Kripalu studying Prana Yoga for Mental Health, Yoga Nidra, and Resiliency Building (RISE).

I am certified in Eden Energy Medicine Essentials, hold a certificate in reflexology, and have studied Divine SleepĀ® Yoga Nidra with Jennifer Reis.

Spiritual Leadership

I believe spiritual wellness is critical to overall wellness; without it, we can never be fully whole or healed. I am an experienced spiritual leader and offer spiritual guidance to help through life transitions, spiritual growth, and development.

I have served as a UU religious professional for 7 years as a Director of Education, and as called, ordained Pagan clergy for a Pagan spiritual community in Massachusetts for 9 years.

As part of my shamanic practice, I lead public and private Reindeer Shaman ceremonies throughout the year, offering participants spiritual healing and growth through experiential practice. Contact me if I can assist you in any way on your spiritual journey.

A Little More About Me

I have a master’s degree in Conservation Biology and worked as a naturalist for 20 years before starting up Inkwood.

I grew up just outside NYC and now live in northern Massachusetts with my family, and a wiggly, bouncy puppy who wants me to believe she’s my shamanic assistant. She probably is.

Also pictured with me is my rescued Czech-bred German Shepherd, Thorin. Thorin was my beloved working familiar for over 12 years before he passed in 2025. His energy continues to be part of my spiritual and healing practice.

I am honored to work quarter-time as the Education Director for a small Unitarian Universalist church in central MA, in addition to my work at Inkwood. This work supports and affirms my faith, as I work directly with youth to help them find their spiritual way in the world.

Some of my other passions include hiking, practicing martial arts, playing fiddle, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
