My family put a short little fundraiser together for my birthday to help support my practice. Finding start-up funding is hard for tiny businesses, so they reached out to some folks and got this going!
We’re selling retro ball caps (or trucker’s hats) for $20 to get my brand out there and raise some money if we sell enough.
The fundraiser ends on April 23rd, and we have to sell a minimum of 40 to put this into action. Please consider supporting my practice with a purchase!
The fundraiser (through Custom Ink) can be found here: https://bit.ly/3xvHkBB
There’s a story behind the style of hat they chose.
When I got my business credit card from the bank last month, instead of saying ‘Inkwood Healing’, it said ‘AMP Trucking’. After calling the bank to have them reissue the card, they sent me a new card with a new number… but it still said ‘AMP Trucking’. After a second, lengthier phone call, the bank figured out the issue and fixed my business name. But the card still says AMP Trucking (which apparently is fine, they say, while I wait for a new one).
My family thought this was funny, and started checking in with me to see how my “trucking business” was going. They threatened to buy me a trucker’s hat with my logo, but I didn’t think we’d send them into the world via a fundraiser!
So that’s where this came from, and it’s one of the most fun and surprising gifts I’ve gotten. If you know someone who might enjoy one, please share the fundraiser link!
