Unplug & Recharge Nature Connection Workshop, Sat. 4/29, 10am – 12pm
Ditch the electronics and bring your whole self to join me in exploring nature on Saturday, April 29th in Lunenburg Massachusetts at the Lunenburg Pollinator Conservation Area. This is the first workshop in my Healing Through Nature program series – I am SO excited to get out with you all!
We will explore several different habitat types as we wander through this diverse and peaceful nature preserve. During our time together, we will discuss the healing benefits of being out in nature regularly, and how to have a nature immersion, or forest bathing experience.
I’ll introduce participants to the basics (and curiosities) of New England’s forest and meadow habitats, and we’ll explore nature’s beauty and complexity both individually and through group observation and query.
Prep: No experience is necessary to attend; we will be on unpaved paths with varying terrain. Some trails may be wet. Dress for the weather with sturdy shoes, and bring a notebook, sketch pad, or another medium for recording observations and thoughts during our program.
Cost: $10/person
Location: Lunenburg Community Pollinator Conservation Area, 123 Hollis Rd., Lunenburg, MA 01462
My Experience Teaching Outdoors
I am a Naturalist of over 25 years – it’s something that is a permanent part of me. For me, being a Naturalist is a state of being – my wonder and curiosity are simply how I see and interact with the world. I have a Master of Science degree in Conservation Biology from Antioch University New England and have worked at nature centers, watershed agencies, and land conservation agencies. I studied tracking at Antioch and the Walnut Hill Tracking School and received extensive training in natural history and ecology during my years working for Mass Audubon.
If you’d like to learn more about my work as a professional Naturalist and Outdoor Educator, you can read my Naturalist bio here: https://www.withywindlenature.com/about/
Few things bring me more joy than helping people discover the wonders of the natural world – I hope you’ll join me on April 29th to unplug and recharge!
